Friesematenten

A satirical game for 2 – 4 gamers at age 14+
Author: Friedemann Friese
Playing time: 45 minutes

Overview:
Give the berserk a potency-pill and really clean up. Or get as much profit as possible out of the nuclear power plant (Type Tschernobyl) to finally give it away to an opponent, even if he really do not want it.

Idea of the game:
Friesematenten is an auction game, where every player controls his own empire. To earn money the players must bid for companies during the game. Because money is irrelevant for the victory but victory points are not, the players must also bid for status symbols. To be able to control the game for your own favour, it is possible to buy action cards. These cards can be used against opponents or for your own advantages, sometimes resulting in a surprisingly fast victory.

Components:
60 cards, 20 wooden tokens, playing money, no die, instead of it a starting player token, 1 rules sheet.

Friesematenten contains 200 different cards. Each basic game includes 60 different cards. Expansions are available that include a random selection of 60 cards you only need for additional game variations.

Friesematenten was published in 1998 at Spiel ´98 in Essen in a print run of
3000 copies. The game is out of print!
